What it teaches
Turning a Polish sentence into a sum. Every other game here is in English on purpose — a child meets the language while they play — but a word problem tests reading for meaning, and a child reading in their second language is being tested on the wrong thing.
The bands follow the Polish curriculum: inside twenty for klasa I, inside a hundred for klasa II, and two operations for klasa III.
What to look for
Ask for the sum to be written down before the answer. "12 − 5 = 7" beside the problem shows the thinking; a bare 7 does not.
The child's own name appears in the problems, from the settings screen. The sentences carry no pronouns at all, so the name of a girl or a boy both read correctly.
