What actually happens in each season, which is the part worth asking about. Buds opening is spring wherever you live; conkers are autumn; the shortest day is winter. Snow is not a reliable answer anywhere any more, and it is not the answer here.
It also quietly teaches that the seasons are about the sun rather than the weather. The longest day is in June and the warmest weather comes later, because the ground takes time to warm — which surprises adults too.
How it works
Something that happens appears, and the four seasons are the answers. The reason comes with the right answer and it is a reason rather than a fact to learn: hedgehogs sleep in winter because there is not enough food to stay awake for.
Three levels change the length of the round and the number of seasons offered.
What to look for
Go outside and find one. Every item in this game is visible from a path at the right time of year, and a conker in a hand beats any number of rounds.
